6. Web Developer rocks. It is kind of a moot point to install MeasureIt, EditCSS, and Cookie Crumbler. You can accomplish all those tasks with Web Developer. While it doesn't support a quick clear cache option, it does have the ability to disable using the cache, which is quite handy.

Gratis - IE View is quite handy for viewing pages that were designed only following IE specs, and also to make sure the pages you are working on don't break in IE. I do prefer IE Tab https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=1419 though, so I don't have to leave Firefox.

9. Regarding the comments above, the Web Developer Toolbar does almost all of the above, including (sorry Braxis) clearing the cache. I always encourage people to wander around the WDT, because it really is enormously powerful. Of the above, I have WDT, HTTPLiveHeaders and IETab installed, as well as several extensions for the tab interface. I use Nattyware's Pixie on Windows and the Digital Color Meter on Mac. Thanks for the suggestion, I will try Colorzilla.

For reference, here are a few of the mentioned functions in WDT, with directions on how to get there.

Clear Cache:
Miscellaneous > Clear Private Data > Clear Cache

Clear Domain Cookies:
Cookies > Delete Domain Cookies

Screen Ruler:
Miscellaneous > Display Ruler

Edit CSS:
CSS > Edit CSS

10. I don't understand why everybody is so big on color picker extensions for Firefox. I use Color Cop for Windows which extends that functionality to the entire OS. It's free, has great features, loads instantly, and it's on my taskbar so it's always convenient. There are tons of similar utilities for Win & Mac to fit every need.

Web Developer and IE Tab are great.

12. I'd say, the list is missing the real most important extension nowadays to be used on the net - ADBLOCK!
Also, I'm missing the HTMLTidy-extension which is a great deal of convenience for the generation of valid source code.

17. IE View is very usefull, but to keep the balance you should install "Firefox View" which adds "View this page with Firefox" to IE right-click menus.

18. I agree with comment number 10 about colour pickers. On OS X I use an Applescript to launch the system colour picker outside of any particular app. Just paste this line into a script file and save it as an application:

choose color

I also have the web colour code picker (http://www.luckysoftware.dk/) installed which formats it nicely into web formats. The digital color meter app in applications/utilities is handy too.
